Well the time has come I am leaving for 16 days tomorrow off to Los Angeles to film our show. Wish me luck. I am going to try to update my BLOG on My Space while I am there about my adventures if you are interested. Since my hours are 7-7 I am not promising anything. While I am away I will still be checking email and my husband Chris will be holding down the home fort shipping goodies out. Some things might have to wait till I come home so please be patient with us. So wish the Austin Craft Mafia luck and I will be back in two weeks-ish.
Speaking of me being on TV, this coming Friday March 25th the episode of Crafters Coast to Coast I am on is re-airing. Wanna see me act like a total cheeseball and make a necklace of my dog Lucy? Sure you do tune into HGTV at 11:30 AM or 5:00 PM ET/PT.

A: They'll all be at The Austin Museum of Art this weekend!
That's right, The Austin Craft Mafia & Friends are a part of AMOA's newest exhibit: Color/Pattern/Grid: Selections from the Austin Museum of Art and Austin Collections. We'll be hosting a trunk show (along with Chia, Anne Marie Beard, Donna Soo & Whitney Lee) at the museum this weekend, giving talks & demonstrations, and showing our own works. The museum will be open late this Friday night so we can all party with drinks, shopping & music!

So this is not the best picture in the world, but that just adds to the element of surprise doesn’t it! This is my Dollar Store Challenge purse I am making.. I won’t give you the details, that’s what you have to watch the show for, but I will tell you yes those are wooden Cobras for handles. Hope and I have spent the entire weekend working on projects for this baby. We are going out to LA this Thursday for a training lesson and the real stuff begins in mid March. If you have any suggestions about thrift stores, flea markets, vintage clothing stores, fun bars, restaurants etc in LA please email them to me. Chris
has been gone all weekend recording a new CD with his band Beta
Valentine. I got a Beta Valentine T-shirt in the
mail the other day, souper cute. Wardrobe people are coming tomorrow
to my house to tell me what I can and can’t wear so hopefully
it will pass the test. A little name dropage never hurt. |
