On a recent trip to Maine I stumbled into a small antique shop where my little eye spied a broken necklace with oodles of potential.  It was an antique necklace from the 40’s with hand wired bouquets of straw flowers attached to celluloid chain.  The chain was shot, but I was smitten on the hot pink flowers.  When I got the flowers from Maine back to my studio in Texas I introduced them to the vintage green plastic charms that came from Rhode Island and Straw Flowers was born.  Took a lot of traveling, but I think they were worth it.
